SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY : An Entrepreneur’s approach

For a while, me and my team have been testing different things and we realized over the last few months especially over the lockdown that we have different audiences on different social media. We also discovered that we have different strategies to do so: First one is the business which has one voice and second is you as an individual who has a different voice.

We did a test on different social media and found out that Facebook and Instagram are the two MVPs in the social media marketing strategy. While Facebook is suitable for a perfectly built set of entrepreneurs, Instagram is more suitable for personal brand delivery and support.

So, in this article, I will be guiding you on how to lead your personal identity, vision and values through some strategies instead of leading from a sales perspective, because once you lead with your “vision and values”, anything you sell works. People trust you and your brand.

So, below three strategies will be helping you to rule over social media marketing.

  1. STRATEGY

In this step, you should know what kind of media you are going to use. Is it Visual like videos, audio like podcasts, text like blogs or any interactive like quizzes.

Well, I would suggest you start with videos because with videos you can do a lot of other things. You can have its audio transformed into podcasts, you can convert it into a vlog, create a transcribe from it, or you can simply create some interactives from it.
Once you’ve answered all the three questions, you can jump into the next step.

  2. PRODUCTION

In this step, you should know what kind of “media” you are going to use.

  3. DISTRIBUTION
Now comes the final and most important part which is how you’re going to share your ideas and messages with the audience. Where are their eyes and ears? Where are they looking? Or are they even listening? What are the key messages you want to convey them?

So, Strategy, Production and Distribution, all these together will help you to be super proactive to build your business.

In addition to these strategies, there are two ways to do social media marketing viz Push and Pull, which will help you to attract your customers more efficiently.

Pull is the process of drawing the market towards you. How you are going to solve the problems of your clients. Talking about us, we are a massive “Pull Brand” . We often ask people about the challenges they face and what can we do to solve those problems while Push means pushing or directing your sales towards your customers.

In my opinion and experience of working in the medical and pharmaceuticals that I have been working with for the last 15 years, if you’re a beginner, you should start with Pull.

It’s more comfortable as you explore and discover more about the problems of your clients, their thought processes, or their perspectives and the more you understand them, the more accurately you are going to convey your messages to them.

In a nutshell, media strategy is neither easy nor very complicated, but your main motto is to know what you want people to do through you.
